voices in an empty room

  • April 2026

Red light sittings are where my heart is. Not only are they relaxing, they're filled with expectation of whom you may hear on review. There have been few factors as helpful to me in recording clear voices, as a red bulb.

Before the session proper could begin, I had to fix the lock on the door, as it wasn't catching after being painted. I left the light on and went downstairs to get the tools I needed and was gone for around ten minutes. The voices I feature on this page, were all captured when I was out of the room. There was as usual, no background noise used, it was silent outside and the weather was calm.

I have long been recording voices in my absence, but they have grown stronger in the last year. This first began at the cottage, soon after I adapted a bedroom to being my first dedicated seance room. The previous building was hundreds of years' old, the new room has been purpose built in a modern house.

With each recording, the background voices are growing stronger and clearer. The energy of the old cottage has returned to the new room. Exiting times!
