The New Seance Room

    It’s taken 11 long years, but finally my dedicated séance room has been completed. Having painted and laid a new carpet, there was one last job to do, fixing the spotlight that points towards the cabinet.

    Voices in this session were captured on an Olympus VN2100, set at XHQ. Cleaning was performed with Adobe CC audition.

    • This would be my first recording in the new room, placing my recorder on one of the cabinet tables, I knew I wouldn’t be alone as I worked. It was good to hear a familiar name from the old physical circle.

      The investment of spending time in a séance room is always repaid with clearer communication, even if you’re not holding a sitting. Being ham fisted, I was getting more than a little frustrated with the light fitting. Three screws broke off at the head before I managed to get it secured.

      Whilst setting up the room, our friends have already demonstrated they have the ability to independently adjust the lighting in the room.

      The screwdriver had slipped as I fumbled to fix the light and gone into the pad of a finger, I cursed and carried on. I often hear low level unintelligible conversation on recordings, but it’s never been as clear as this. I can’t wait to see how communication is going to develop over the next year!
